Mutlu Sen's First Year Review

When I look back, it is really hard to believe that I have already been here for seven months! It was a hectic start for me, I missed almost first four weeks because of some complications but I was so happy to be here, worked eagerly  and I think I did a good job with catching up classes for fall semester. Now, for spring semester, I am really busy with coursework and trying to do my best for every single thing I need to complete. 

 

I have been feeling frustrated occasionally during these two semesters. I had been thinking that I was behind everything and I created meager written products before I worked on my portfolio. But, I can say that I am fairly satisfied with my progress so far. I had great opportunities to think, share ideas with my cohort and write about my research, I have met many people from our department and improved my communication skills. 

 

Of course, I still have much to achieve. I have involved in research projects, worked on several papers and read a lot but I still need more time to get better on writing, communication and research skills. I am ready to strain every nerve!
